ABOUT DOVE
For 35 years, Alan Moats has worked to help East Tennessee families remodel and restore their homes. Alan credits his business success to his #1 mission—helping people. Alan comes from a long line of family who love to help others. His grandfather Andrew Lee Moats, also a Baptist preacher, owned Floors & More with Alan’s father. As a child, Alan worked alongside his father and grandfather to learn every aspect of installing and refinishing flooring. His grandfather called Alan “a chip off the old block off an old block off an old block.”
A true East Tennessean, Alan spent his childhood in Knoxville, moving to Blount County several years ago. In 2021, he started Dove Remodeling and Restoration after successfully running Arc Restoration with a long-time partner. Alan has also served his community by helping build safe, healthy homes for people in recovery. He gave Dove Remodeling and Restoration a name that has deep meaning for him. As a tribute to his son, Noah, Alan uses the dove in his company logo, representing the dove that returns to Noah’s ark with an olive branch, signifying new hope and a world that has been restored.
